Our story
The Jordanian Society of Rheumatology was established on 22 May 2002. Its main objective is to organize the rheumatology profession in Jordan and raise the level of the specialty.
Bylaws were adopted for the society and objectives were set to develop both the specialists and the specialty. The JSR was founded by 15 members in 2002.

Our objectives
Provide the best care for patients suffering from arthritis, autoimmune, and musculoskeletal diseases with the highest level of knowledge in the field of rheumatology.
Encourage scientific research and participation in seminars, lectures, and conferences at the local, Arab, and international level, and exchange experience with medical associations in Jordan and abroad.
Excel the practice and scientific level of Jordanian rheumatologists by raising the technical level and scientific performance in managing patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.
Develop the practice of rheumatology and musculoskeletal medicine and strengthen the camaraderie between rheumatologists and their colleagues in the Jordanian Medical Association.
Contribute to various aspects of social activity and encourage activities that build the best social relations among members, helping to achieve scientific and professional goals.
On 22 May 2002, a group of dedicated rheumatologists came together to establish the Jordanian Society of Rheumatology, adopt its bylaws, and set the objectives that shape the specialty today.
